missing normal termination
Hi,
i tried running rollover analysis, but got the error as follows:

Job load: 1
setRdEnv windows
Error output from the solver:

Hi Guru,
Can you please share the file through the secure dropbox.

Hi Guru,
The out file seems okay, but we require the model file to troubleshoot. This can be some modelling issue.
You can share the file through the secure dropbox and the file will be secure with us.
Please run the model checker (Tools>Model Checker>RadiossBlock) in HyperMesh so that it will list the modelling issues, if any.

ran the model checker,
got these errors. how to clear these??
1. Free nodes in the model
2. 1 slave node in Rbody
3. Small rigid body with non spherical inertia
4. Rbody id is different from master Id

Hi Guru,
1.You can delete all the free nodes in the model. Right click on the free nodes listed and delete the same.
2 and 3. These checks are done if any small rigid body is having non-sperical inertia. Small RBODY is one having number of slave nodes less than 5. Keep Isphere=1 for the same rigid body.
4. This check lists all rigid bodies that having ID different from master node ID and I think this is an obselete warning and you can ignore this. RADIOSS will not terminate the run because of this warning.
Please note that these all are warnings. These issues will not cause the run termination.

Hi George,
Thanks, i cleared most of the errors, now the error remaining is 1 slave node in RBody. how to clear it??

Hi Guru,
This warning is to check if there is only 1 slave node in a Rbody. You can review those listed rbodies.

will that terminate my run??

Hi Guru,
This is only a warning message and will not terminate the run.
As a recommendation, for small rbodies using Ispher =1 is recommended in order to ensure the stability of the connected elements.

Hi Guru,
Reviewed your model. And its running fine without any issues in HperWorks 14 and 2017 version.
Attaching the starter out file for your reference.
As a suggestion:
While creating rigids, always use calculate node option for the independent node. In your case, the master node is selected on an element which is not advisable. And one slave node is selected. Hence you got the warning which is stated above. So, as a good practice use calculate node option while selecting the independent node.

Thanks,
But when i try to run the same rad file in Hyperworks v13, it says the job completed but the analysis didnt run at all (the out file is similar to the one i previously attached). So what should i do now?? As thats only a warning my model should run, but its not running.. any suggestion?

Hi Guru,
Go to hypercrash , import your solver deck .rad file and then run model checker there. Check for all the issues, hypercrash is good in it.
Also it seems you have rbody master node on element node, update it to have master node as an independent node and should not be on any element. Are you applying initial angular velocity and using skew as system collector to define coordinate system, if yes make the system collector with FRAME >FIX card
Also share the latest .out file.

Hi Guru,
Unfortunately this seems like an issue with the solver.
As replied before, this runs fine in 14 version. I recommend you to download the latest HyperWorks version from https://connect.altair.com/ and try running.

Hi,
You are working in version 13 but exporting it as 120 it seems, If you can export it in 130 , can try with this also.
Also if you can share model, I can look into it for any modelling points

I'm having the same error with RADIOSS 2017.2.1 starter file. Has this issue been resolved yet? If so, kindly advise please.
Thanks,
Shawoon

Hi Shawoon,
This is a generalized case, can you share the model file so that we can review and can fix the issue.

hi this is priyanka
please help me in rollover bus. i have done bus rollover project as per std in Ls dyna through Angular velocity . what i did i calculate angular velocity. and unstable angle. for time saving purpose i rotate the bus near to floor (gap 2-3mm)from rigid floor . and then run in ls dyna .
i never did free fall run (means tilt the bus from unstable angle through gravity value.) i face problem in free fall run .(want to co relate results with physical testing). my bus not rotate againt angle . its jump up and down not tile can u please help which contact i should us for rotation of bus. or either i share my result or deck file.please help.
video result file attached to understand the error . please see and support
