Hi Prakash,

I am running a Direct FRF analysis in Optistruct. I have asked out on only 2 frequencies. I am attaching my .out and .stat file here and error message also. Please resolve my issue.

Error accessing the scratch files:

error encountered in subroutine 'xzslvn'

Solver error no. = -410

This may be caused by insufficient disk space or some other

system resource related limitations.

(e.g. The Operating System or NFS cannot handle file size > 2 GB.)

This error was detected in subroutine inptvmc.

    Hi @hemanshu

Do you have read and write permissions on the machine which you are working on?

Try to assign a temporary directory to write and access scratch files using TEMPDIR. Go to ControlCards>>TEMPDIR and give the path.

    Hi Prakash,

My solution requires estimated disk space of 1.1 TB for scratch files, and i have it in two drives as F drive - 900 GB, and E drive -300 GB.

I am able to assign one drive as tmpdir for scratch files as TMPDIR= FILESIZE=300, E:\TMP

When i am solving my file in F drive.

It is still showing that less space for scratch files. So i have aborted the run. I am attaching .out and .stat file also.

Is it possible to solve this model by this method  or i need to assign two temp directories or something else.

    Thanks,

    Hemanshu

    Hi Prakash,

Also i can not combine both drives as they are part of different hard drives on my workstation.

    Thanks,

    Hemanshu

    Hi Hemanshu,

Can you check for which frequency it is taking more space?

Check if -fixlen command solves your problem. Follow few of these suggestions:

    1) close all unnecceasy programs and application which utilize the machine memory

    2) If possible cleaup diskspace

Meanwhile I will check if there a way to combine two directory for temporary usage.

    Hi Prakash,

Thanks For the above suggestions. I have tried simulating my problem with above options, but was not able to solve it. Now i am trying to buy a new computer hard drive.

    Thanks

    Hemanshu

    Thanks for the update Henamshu,

Let me know if you still have any problem after increasing the memory.
