Hi, I'm using hypermesh with RADIOSS block 110 user profile.

I've read in this student guide

t pages 166 and 167 that plain strain and plane stress elements exist, but I can understand how to create them in a model. Could anyone help me?

    Hi GabrieleJax,

In Optistruct Plane stress is the default element and you can switch to plane strain elements using an option in the pshell card (MID2 = -1)

In RADIOSS block, you can choose the analysis type to be plane strain in the /ANALY card (set N2D3D to 2)

See - Altair RADIOSS > Reference Guide > Starter Input > Starter Keywords > /ANALY in Help,

And also the RADIOSS theory Manual, chapter 5 , Altair RADIOSS > User's Guide > Theory Manual > Large Displacement Finite Element Analysis

    Hi Prakash Pagadala

In RADIOSS block, is setting N2D3D to 2 true for plane stress?
