Enforced Rotation

Hi,

I tried to realise a Direct Frequency Analysis with a enforced rotation around Axis x. My solid component has a cylindrical shape and its revolution axis is the axis x.

For that, I used Rload2 with a SPCD (I checked Dof4 for the rotation around x). The analysis was completed but the results aren't the ones what i expected.

Indeed, there is well a rotation but there is also an increase of the diameter of my component and I don't understand why.

Hi,

What is the magnitude of rotation?

Is the rotation given in degrees or radians?

try with Radians instead of degrees.

In Optistruct use SPCD for enforced displacement, velocity or acceleration for dynamic analysis. The SPCD units for rotational degrees of freedom is radians.
