Problem with Crasurv
Hi,
I'm trying to understand LAW 25 with CRASURV formulation. So I perform a single element test to see how it works. As far as I can see from the Radioss Reference Guide, it should be possible to use different values of plastic work for each material direction by setting the Flag Iflawp=1. So I do that, but there was no effect. The global criteria (Wpmax) was still the dominating one and the local one (Wpmaxt1,Wpmaxt2,.....) has no effect. That means, the Element is ruptured when the global criterion is reached. If I deactivated the global criterion the local one also has also no effect, which means that the element is not ruptured.
What do I wrong?

My Problem is still exisitng. Have anybody an Idea which seettings are important to use CRASURV?

Hi MrEtker,
do you see a similar behaviour with LAW25 TsaiWu?
according to the reference guide, if Sigma11 is greater than Sigma yield in tension then ruptures takes the local values.
maybe you have to increase the load so that stress from tension and compression in major direction is greater than SigmaYt and SIgmaYc.

Hi,
Yes I see the similar behaviour. The stress value is greater than the Yield stress but there is no rupture of the element. After the Yield stress is reached, i modeled plasticity hardening which occurs
until a mximum stress is reached. Afterwards the Element should be ruptured at Wpmaxt1=110, but it didn't do it. I attached the stress/strain curve and the material card to check.

Hi,
I am checking this with experts.
Meanwhile can you please let me know what is the version of HyperWorks you are using?

Hi,
I'm using Hypermesh version 13.0.110 with Radioss Block 12.

Hi,
can you run the same analysis on 13.0 solver?
I shared a video with you. The animation file after running in 13.0.

Hi,
I have tried with 13.0 solver. Now it's working. Thank you.
