Hello, I am trying to assign PCOMPP card. But, there are some 2D elements. Is PCOMPP is compatible with 2D element. I am using optistruct as solver. after solving it is showing missing property error. Can you help me about this.
Thanks
Hi @Bhushan D. Neve
PCOMPP is only compatible with 2D elements. If you have 3D elements you need to use a different property like PSOLID.
Thanks Prakash,
One more question. I have define contact surfaces and tie contact between contact surfaces. If I change meshing of one component then contact surface has to be redefine or it will get automatically updated.
If you did a remesh, the contact surface for the region will vanish. You need to create contact surfaces after remeshing.
Okay thanks.
I also want to ask a question
with this card image PCOMPP, how many ply we can model?
for example, when I attempt to model a crfp laminate, which consist of 8 ply [0/90] I can only two ply
how to realize in optistruct
Hi,
I am sorry, I did not get your point. could you explain this in detail, please?
I want to model woven carbon fiber laminate whose stacking sequence is [04s/904s]8
Problem, I have experinced, is I can use this ply once for both 0 and 90 ply I cannot use one more time and I have to create new ply
Hi @durukanbdilek
Since you have 8 plies in your stack, you need to create 8 different plies and refer all in laminate.
it is absurd because I have only two ply
I think this property must be changed.
When i create ply, i can't put card image=ply. Why?
