normal modes displacement

Hey there,

 

do you know how i get the displacement results when observing the normal modes in optisctruct? i already set the displacement output on my loadstep active, but the displacement is still missing in hyperview

As long as you understand that modal analysis does not really calculate displacements as in a linear static analysis, they are just to tell us about the relative disposition of one point to another of the resonating body,

 

In a way you can request for it using the format as output2 within the global output request, and then in Hyperview loading .fem in load model and .op2 file in the results field,

 

you will find that it is quite similar to the eigen mode result within H3D /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
