HyperCrash .dll Error
Hello everyone,
i was about to go through the Tutorials for HyperCrash on my Student-Version of Hyperworks which, according to this Post: http://www.altairhyperworks.com/newsdetail.aspx?news_id=10988&news_country=en-US should imply HyperCrash.
So when i tried to start up HyperCrash (I guess it is HyperCrash) from: C:\Program Files\Altair\13.0-edu\hc\bin\win64\hc.exe
An Error turned up, claiming that libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll was missing and the Program couldn't be started without. I searched the web, found the dll and another Error occured (0x0000007b).
Furthermore having watched:
The startup menu (min 3:14) doesn't even closely look like mine. Only thing i can start directly form my Windows start menu is Hyperworks - did i miss something to install? Or is it like in Ansys Workbench whereas you can start every other Subprogram through the 'HyperWorks' Application. If so where do i find the necessary button? Only Surfaces to switch i know (and have the option to do so) are HyperGraph 2D, HyperMesh, HyperView, Motion-, Media-, Text-, and TableView.
I work on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. If you need more Infos about my System please say so and i will gather them.
Thanks in advance
Max

Hi Max,
The start-up which you are seeing the video is commercial suite's start-up menu.
Can you start HyperWorks from your start-up menu and select HyperCrash from Applications menu (see image below) to check if this opens HyperCrash or gives the same error?
If you still get the same error, please download a fresh copy from Altair Store and make a fresh installation of the application.

Thank you very much.
I reinstalled and now it works, funilly enough only through starting HyperWorks/Applications, whereas in our University we learned to start the environments from the Folder, but I recall something with restrictions in working when not doing so because of lesser power of the user...
Also thank you for clearing my confusion about the startup menu, seems like at our university we work with a full license I guess.

Hello Prakash,
I am facing the same problem. I want to run Hypercrash from command prompt and when I try to do that, I get an error saying 'The program can't start because libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem'. I am working with Hyperworks V 2017.1. Should I reinstall 2017.1 or install the latest version to resolve the issue?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello Prakash,
I tried reinstalling but to no use. I am still getting the same error as mentioned above when I try to launch the hc.exe file. Please let me know how to solve this problem. I have Hyperworks desktop version 2017.2 and solver version 2017.2 installed on my system. Also, HwDesktop Hotfix 2017.2.2 and HwSolver Hotfix 2017.2.3 installed.
Thank-you in advance for your help!
