Element density values
Hello,
Is there a way to extract the element density values after a topology optimization process?
Thanks,

Hi Suraj,
Please include DENSITY card to output density of elements for a topology optimization.
Goto Control Cards>> DENSITY. At the end of the analysis a file with extension .dens will be written in the working directory.

Hi prakash,
Can you please suggest me how to to intrefernce analysis.
One outer cylinder with 5mm and inner cylinder is 4mm and inner cylinder is penitrated with 0.1 interfernce so for that i need to find the interfernce analysis for only that contact
Has i used the PCONT card in property and assigned in this card in conatct.
I assumed inner cylinder is master and outer cylinder is slave. i tried with the option but the solution is not converging.
Due to company polices i unable to share the file.so please guide me how can i converge my file or if you have any example file please share the file

Hi DInesh,
Here is a model file Not sure what do you mean by penetration, but isn't it the inner dia should be more than outer for interference fit?

Hi prakash
The thing is inner dia is penitrated with 0.1 mm in to the outer Dia.. So for that i need analyse the interference fit analysis.

Dinesh,
OK, please go through the attached file and let me know if you are able to run the analysis without issues.

Thanks prakash ,
I have ran the analysis prakash. But i want to know the condition of when the Assume(innerdia) is inserted into the outer cylinder U can see the picture when the inner dia is inserted in real case they will some effect in outer dia.So with that condition i want to run the analysis with only one subcase on force will be applied. As my client saying that interfrence fit analysis. So i also dont have much knowlegde on this .. So plese suggest me whether PCONT card is right to use. So is any special parameters to use this.
And before you has shared me the file in that PGap property is created. I think it is not right i think so.

@dineshreddy try with CONTACT card with slide and friction and check the contact forces.
