Dear all, I have two problems while using Hyperlaminate. Hope you can help me.Thanks!

1.By use of Hyperlaminate's calculate function, we can get the results including A B D matrix. But there are some other matrices such as Equivalent Material Matrices(see figure attached). What are these matrices mean, and where can I find the reference document???

2.When I click Mid-Plane Results or Global System Results, there are no results. But in the training manual , threre are some results.(see figure attached) What's wrong?

Equivalent material matrices are used by many finite element solvers to represent the laminated composite as a homogenized shell.

    Thanks Rahul!

I have known how to use it for composite beam, but I want to understand fundamental principles. Have you ever seen its principle in help files or guides?

    Hi HuangZhou,

    I hope you know the stress resultant to strain relationship eqaution ({F M} = [A B D] {mid surface strain curvature}).

The solver internally calculates the A B D using G1, G2, G3 and G4 and the nominal thickness of elements.

You can find more information about this in any composite theory book.

Yes! I have learned  A B D matrix pretty well. Thanks a lot!

    Dear All,

I have a fully optimalized composite part in hyperworks. How I can export the geometry with the optimized layers? I have hyperworks V11.0

    Thank you very much!
