what is segmentation error?

How do I save my model if it occurs?

How do I prevent that from occurring?

    Hi Suraj,

    Delete your settings files from the working directory for solving this issue. The below post shows the procedure for deleting the settings files.

     

     

    Normally when the application closes with segmentation error the file will be saved in working directory but we always recommend to save your work at regular intervals.

    You can't prevent that from occurring.

    The cause is impossible to know: maybe your model contains something 'special', but in general that's a software bug.

    If Altair devel Team could reproduce this bug, we have, maybe, a chance it will be fixed in next release.

    sometimes it happens if I enter/escape panels too fast
