Hi!

How can I define hyperelastic materials in Hypermesh (e.g. Mooney Rivlin)?

Best, J

Use MATHE card.PFA screenshot for same.

    hi Mr Rahul

this material model can be used for only PSOLID property cant it?

Either the PSOLID or PLSOLID Bulk Data Entry can be used to reference the MATHE Bulk Data Entry.

shell or mebrane element is not suitable for this Material Model (MATHE) isnt it ?

Defines the properties of nonlinear hyperelastic solidelements, referenced by CHEXA, CPENTA, and CTETRA Bulk Data Entries. The MATHE hyperelasticmaterial can be referenced to define corresponding material properties.

in Abaqus, this material can be used with mebrane elements, hyperworks is vey strange

Currently shell and membrane for MATHE is not supported.PFA highlights of OptiStruct 2019.1.

As mentioned above this is available with OptiStruct 2019.1 version.

In OptiStruct the MATVE bulk data entry defines the material properties for Viscoelastic materials.

MATVE is only supported for Small displacement nonlinear static and transient analysis.& Solid elements both first and second order (CHEXA,CTETRA,CPENTA,CPYRA) are currently supported.Let me know if you need the demo file for same.

If you are a commercial customer then please upgrade to HW Desktop 2019.1 (hotfix is 2019.1.1)and for solvers OptiStruct 2019.1 (hotfix is 2019.1.1)

HEY RAHUL. AM TRYING TO MODEL POLYURETHANE IN OPTISTRUCT.... I DNT KNOW HOW TO GIVE INPUT FOR MATERIAL PROPERTIESS. I CHOSE MATHE CARD SINCE POLYURETHANE IS A HYPER ELASTIC MATERIAL BUT AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE MODEL COEFFICIENTS (LIKE MOONEY RIVLIN OR YEOH OR OGDEN). WILL U HELP ME ON THIS

Normally, you have to optimize your hyperelastic model based on experimental data ...
