Hello all,

I am currently trying to trim a solid in Hypermesh so that I can create a hexmesh of the part and the software continues to throw "Internal Error" when I try to cut this solid specifically at this location. Aside from saving and reloading the model multiple times, I have tried trimming the solid with sweep lines, with bounding lines, with both planes and surfaces, and I have projected the lines I am using to cut onto multiple surfaces and attempted to use each of them as bounding and sweep lines. I have confirmed that the larger solid can be trimmed at the location without any issues, but the smaller solid cannot. I need to trim both solids here in order to create the mesh so I am unsure of how to proceed. Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the part with the partial mesh shown; image

Here is the area I am attempting to trim along with one of the lines I am attempting to trim with, please note the two highlighted solids. The larger one can be cut by itself, but both need to be cut in order to create the mesh;image

Here is that same area along with the error message when I try to trim the solid using a swept line in the Z or Y direction; image

I was able to trim and mesh the other side of the part just fine;image

Overall, pretty confused on what the issue is, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
