can you please tell me how to use mass scaling in hypercrash

    Hi,

For mass scaling you can use the Engine-Keyword /DT/NODA/CST, that you can use to scale the timestep and to force a minimum timestep for your calculation.

Either you can enter this manually in the engine file or you can activate the control card in HyperMesh/HyperCrash.

The image attached shows activating the control card in HyperCrash.

/DT/NODA/CST is the formatwhere Tsca is 0.9 Tmin is the Minimum time step user desired to input.

In the engine out file DM/M value in the last column in the RADIOSS Engine listing file will show the total mass added to the model.

For post processing of the added mass, enter the keyword  /AIM/NODA/DMAS which gives Nodal mass variation. User can verify the animation files written with this keyword.

Impact Analysis tutorials are available in the RADIOSS help menu.
