Non-linear Analysis Model will not Converge or Produce results

Hi, I have a model of a breast that should be deformed between two plates. I have tried various variations using the PCONT card, CNTSTB, and EXPERTNL with CNTSTB and I still cannot get the model to produce results. I have tried increasing the NINC card as well to not avail. The top plate will move but it is not interacting with the breast to have it spread across the bottom plate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Unfortunately the analysis time is huge and it is taking time to debug.

I can suggest the following:

1) Can you try with Slide contact alone?

2) If you want to use PCONT, can you change stiffness to hard and check if that helps?

I️ have tried it without the Pcont cards only using slide contact. It will run just still no convergence. Is Optistruct not able to handle the model? I’m thinking I️ may need to use another solver
