Hyperstudy simulation of three point bending
Hi, I have produced a model of a composite plate undergoing three point bending and have imported this into hyperstudy to show the relationship between force and displacement. When setting up in hyperstudy I was prompted with this but I don't understand what the value N5561 refers to? I don't know what N value for request I should choose from to get the correct value as I want to find the displacement in the middle of the composite where the load acts? Any help would be great.

N is the node id.I think you want to select maximum displacement node.starting from 14.0 you can use file assistant .Please see video from free DOE with Hyperstudy eBook.

How would I know what node the load acts on because the maximum option doesnt seem to produce the right results?

While postprocessing in Hyperview you can plot max min stresses. Also using query panel you can get stresses for any particular node.
