create "non-manifold assembly" and remesh

Hi Louis,
1) Do you want to create surface, assemble and remesh the entire model?
If yes, you can extract the surface from the .stl elements and use Geom>> Surface>>Ruled to create surface. After this you can remesh the model.
2) If you are not interested in creating surface goemetry, you can use 2D>> element drag to drag bad elements from one part to the other. After this you can remesh the elements.

You can do a surface mesh (tria mesh) and then do a tetramesh,
you can also use 2d > shrinkwrap if the models are complicated as CT models often are,
Please post images of the model if possible,

Hi Rahul,
I have two layers, please see image t1 and t2. I used shrinkwrap tight mesh function to mesh the stl files together. However, after meshing 2 components combine into one component, t3 (red color). I need two components meshing at the same time but after shrinkwarp meshing I can still have two separate components. I do not want to mesh separately because it may have gaps or overlap between the contact surfaces. If I have to mesh them separately, how should I modify to have the smooth contact surfaces using hypermesh.
Thanks,
Louis
