Tie contact between beam and shell edge

Hello everyone!

I tried to convert my model from Abaqus to Optistruct. The model in Abaqus contains Tie-constraint between beam and shell edge. It's all converts with no errors, but  results are different. Obviously Optistruct does not include rotational degrees of freedom in Tie-contact.

Could anyone tell me, how can I fix this?

    Hi Polina Marchenko,

     

    When you say between beam and shell edge, does it mean edge to edge contact?

     

    I dont think Edge to edge contact is supported in OptiStruct.
