Mesh intersection
Altair Employeein the first image we can see the geometry and in the second I imported the file mesh - entersection.nas , thanks to this I saw where I have the mesh problems , but now how do I resolve the problem(mesh intersection) ?
ps:the original file is a stl

Hi,
Yes, STL mesh will represent the shape and will not have a good quality to perform simulation. It is being generally used in making of components using RPT (Rapid prototyping technique) which uses layering concept for formation of the product using plastic or metal.

Altair EmployeeAt your case, I'll make two coincident meshes to eliminate the intersection issue. When done, just use fonction 'detach' to separate two meshes.

Altair EmployeeYou can edit the geometry in such a way as to not have any intersections, this should be the first step.
You can use tool > penetrations to identify and fix intersections.
Altair EmployeeNo intersection of geometry can not guarantee no intersection of mesh. The difference of mesh density can create intersections.

are you intending to use STL mesh for analysis? You shouldn't because STL mesh is very ugly!
Try import Geometry File (IGES, STP) to make FE model
STL mesh is just for shape representation
