Hello,

i am trying to build a model of cylinder vibrating in air on an infinite domain - i have to use Radioss Law11 - silent boundary condition.

This will be used for the outer boundary of area representing air... but how should i represent air? I checked in tutorials (Half car acoustic analysis) and MAT10 from Optistruct (Radioss Bulk format) is used there. But i havent found any similar material for representation of basic air properties in Radioss.

Could you please advise?

Should i use LAW11 with option 2 - general option? I need to specify mainly Rho and speed of sound.

Thanks.

or is there any equivalent of silent boundary condition in Radioss bulk format (=optistruct)?

    Hi Ales.Emmer,

Maybe Law37 can come in handy for you. Can you please check LAW 37?

Thank you for advice, but modelling such simple problem in Radioss seems a bit too complex for me. I already have a FSI model in Optistruct (acoustic analysis of compressor compartment) and i would like to add outlet to the model.

MLAW11 in Radioss was great for this... Is it possible to model outlet in Optistruct? Either like an option in optstruct or via equation using pressue in neigbouring elements?

    thank you
