Hi all,

i want to do a topology optimisation of bending a carbon-fibre-sandwich-Panel. The carbon-fibre-plies are modeled as a solid. between them is another solid, the core-material. (see at the Picture)

When i run the optimisation, error 312 occures:

*** ERROR #  312 ***
  In static load case            3
the compliance is negative or large   3.127970E+11
  Optimization/buckling analysis cannot be performed
due to possible rigid body mode
  FEASIBLE DESIGN (ALL CONSTRAINTS SATISFIED).

can anybody tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks for your help,

andi

    Hello,

large compliance means mostly, that there are still rigid body modes possible (not enough constrained model).

Also take a look at your material properties.

    Mario
