Hi everybody,
I'm doing a topology optimization and, when I launch the job, it gives me this error:
*** FATAL ERROR # 8004 ***
Data block seqs has zero length.
* DATAMANAGER ERROR in subroutine 'datame'.
how can I resolve this issue?

There maybe some model compatibility issues which needs to be taken care.
can you share the .out file to check if that gives any clue.
the same error # 8004 occured when free-size ESL optimization is run with pattern repetition. Error termination happens after first outer loop, just after updated master CMS flex file is generated. The message from out file is:
*** INTERNAL PROGRAMMING ERROR # 8004 *** Data block meshtpl has zero length. * DATAMANAGER ERROR in subroutine 'datami'. **** Error 8004 in datamr() during 'insert' operation. Data block name 'meshtpl'. Current memory allocation 800 MB, Unused memory 798 MB, Number of blocks: 278 used, 9 free. Call arguments 0, 0.

Can you add an optimization constraint and check if that helps?
the optimization has stress constraint in DSIZE card.
The same error happens when optimizing for minmax compliance subject to volume fraction constraint.

Looks like the pattern repetition is causing the problem
Without Pattern repetition constraint, the model works fine. Please check the same at your end.
Meanwhile, I will forward the same to Developers.
my observations is the same: this error only comes up when ESLM optimization is run with pattern repetition.
