Optistruct : viewing force from nodal displacement

Hello,

 

i have a set of 2 clips which are connected to each other. i have set a nodal displacement of lower clip at 2mm. Pls refer the picture

 

i have setup my BC on Optistruct using SPCADD and used rbe2 rigid elements to pull the lower clip. My solution is converged.

 

Can you help me with following :

- How do i see the force generated to move the clip (do i need to generate a new control card or which option is there in hyperview for this ? )

-can i view the damage/breakage of clip in hyperview ?

Hi,

 

1.In control card select Global output request and envoke GPFORCE to get grid point force in Hyperview. 

2.Damage and breakage are the output of fatigue analysis.You can postprocess results in Hyperview after carrying out fatigue analysis.Refer below two tutorials of Optistruct for fatigue analysis.

OS-1340: Fatigue (Stress - Life) Method

OS-1350: Fatigue (Strain - Life) Method
