Transferring data from Hyperworks to Ansys
Hello,
I have a plate design (PSHELL ), and I wish to do a frequency response analysis in Ansys. I have done all preprocessing and applied all boundary conditions. Is it possible to export the pre-processed model with boundary conditions? If yes, what is the procedure?. Please note the fact that I am using PSHELL property.
Thanks in advance./emoticons/default_smile.png' title=':)' width='20' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' />

Hi Swapy,
Are you using HyperWorks student edition for pre-processing?
If yes, then it is not possible to export to Ansys from Student Edition of HyperWorks. This is one of the limitations.
If you are using full edition, then you can change the user profile to Ansys (if you are not already in Ansys profile), Update all elements (Goto 2D/3D page>> Element types>> Select all elements and click update for all 1d, 2d, and 3d elements)
Then go to File menu>> Export>>Solver Deck

Hello
Thank you for your help Prakash and Rahul.
I just wanted to know if we can import the model with boundary conditions from Hypermesh to Ansys?
Also Can we do harmonic frequency response analysis in OS?
I wish to have end result as Frequency vs normalized response
Thankyou

You can refer to these tutorials

But I can't see any update option in element types in 2D/3D
