Hi,

I am getting the below error when I am running a natural convection problem on Acusolve. The problem solves for around 100 iterations and then exits with the following message-

'PYTHON.EXE HAS STOPPED WORKING'.

I am attaching a snapshot of the error.

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks in advance

It could be one of the several reasons:

    - probably lost connection to license server? Network issue?

    - Solution ratios are pretty high. It could be something to with BC, solver settings, etc.

    - is there a BCWarnings file in the run folder?

Could you please post .inp, .Log, description of problem, images of domain, image of mesh cross section.

    Thanks for the reply..

I checked with my IT team. There was no loss of connection to server during the analysis run.

I will not be able to post an image due to confidentiality issues...

I have attached the log file for your review..

I have a bcwarning file generated...I have pasted a sample warning below-

' *** WARNING: Surface 1 of element BC 'AIR1-2D' is in the interior '

I am running a natural convection problem for a PCB board encased in a box. The heat source is a chip on the PCB board.

    Hope the above information helps.

Is this BCwarning concerning a solid-solid interface or between solid-fluid? If it is between solid-solid then it is not a problem for AcuSolve. However from the name 'AIR' is sounds fluid. You have to make sure than all fluid nodes are assigned a BC.

.Log file does not give enough information to find reason for your issue. It might be good idea to contact your local Altair office and let them check out your setup.
