Problem with HyperMesh/Virtual Wind Tunnel
Dear HyperWorks Forum,
I'm a german student and I participate in the international competition 'F1 in schools' with two other classmates. It's an international STEM competition for students (who are 11-19 years old).
Groups of 3–6 students have to design and manufacture a miniature 'car' out of the official F1 Model Block (Polyurethan) using CAD/CAM design tools. The cars are powered by CO2 cartridges and are attached to a track by a nylon wire. The cars have to follow specific guidelines and are raced on a 20m long track with two lanes for stability. But the car is only a little part of the project, the result is composite of the team performance (construction, production, reaction time, vehicle speed, business plan, measurement and presentation).
To optimize the car we need an virtual wind tunnel (CFD). We looked for programms and asked universities for help, ultimately a student of the RWTH Aachen impart us your programm VWT/AcuSolve. A contact man of an branch here in germany helped us with the licensing and gave us tutorials, but he isn't at office now and the virtual wind tunnel don't run.
After meshing the model and set up the VWT and start the run the run-status still stops at 0,02 %. I tested the VWT with an meshed model wich can be downloaded in the internet, that was no problem (the programm works a few days). I draged the *.stp, *.nas, *.hm and *.stmod files. I don't know what the problem is, I hope you could help me.
best greedings

Hi Jonas,
I checked your model, there are lot of intersections in the model as shown in fig.(red color indicates intersection)
Scale the model before importing into VWT.
make sure node to node connection and delete unwanted (duplicate) elements before exporting from HM.Thanks
Ravi
