Incomplete VWT run (stays at 2%)

Hello,

I perform the simulation of a simple block model in VWT. I created the mesh in Hyoer Mesh and exported it as .nas file.

I imported it, set the B.C., the domain, the running parameters, the Directory path to AcuSolve,

but when it starts the analysis it shows the bat console figure shown below, which seems to be good, but the analysis remains at 2%.

I let it run for a whole day, but still nothing.

Any ideas why this could happen?

Thanks,

Poly

This is most likely due to quality issues with the model, this is often resolved by doing a good quality tria surface mesh.

Please make sure you export the model from HyperMesh in “Nastran(Fluent)” format, available in the CFD export tab.

It is imperative that you go through this guide and follow it step by step to import into vwt or acuconsole.

Could you check if there is a folder called CAD.DIR or MESHSIM.DIR or in the run directory?

Also check if memory usage goes up with Task Manager.

PS: A tip, avoid spaces in file paths and file names.

Yes, There is a folder CAD.DIR

    and MESHSIM.DIR as well.

The memory and CPU doesn't changes unfortunately.

Could you post the output of a file named  MeshSim.txt  or similar?  Another necessary file would be .ams  file

My initial  guess is that RAM on your computer was not enough for the meshing process.

I was trying to perform a VWT simulation. You were correct, I was running out of memory... I increased the size of elements and it worked.

    Thank you
