Hi all,

Why Can't I use Stress/Strain Responses when using a Free Size Design Variable?

I am trying to optimize the ply shapes in order to minimize the maximum strain in a simple square composite plate in a traction setting.

The only things I seem to be able to minimize weight and volume, but these parameters are irrelevant in my problem.

Also, can someone please explain to me the Weighted Compliance Response. I don't quite understand this notion and therefore I can't seem to use it properly.
