How to define interior self contact for soft foam or rubber solid?

Hello everyone,

 

How to define interior self contact for one soft foam or rubber solid? In my simulation, I found some elements penetrate other elements in the same solid part due to large deformation. How to correct this problem?

Hi Roy,

You can define self contact using Type 7 interface. You can review a video in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj_4IlcjSwU&list=PL1u26y75SCrA_BOCLaSewVCNY7xRvCTnA&index=4 which shows contact definition. If you still face trouble, please share the model file (starter and engine files).

Hi Roy,

This is display panel. You can press 'D'in the keyboard to get this panel.

In Preferences> Keyboard Settings you can view the key board short cuts set.
