Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to set up hyperworks to find the optimal beam shape (type T, L, I etc) for a stiffened  thin wall construction (i.e. plates stiffened with beam). Supposing that the position of the siffeners is known -thus no topology optimisation is needed (?), how can optistruct determine the optimal beam type and then perform size optimisation to reduce beam flange and web thicknesses??
