How to run the model faster?

Hi everyone,

I use Radioss to check a tensile test. The hardware testing was tested at speed 4mm/min, and total time for testing is 450 seconds. The simulation time is very long.

Would you show me which parameters or methods to reduce simulation time? (NO REMESH model)

Hello,

 

since the timestep depends from the minimum element size, there are not so much possibilities to speed up.

 

1. change your hardware

2. use more processors (MPP, of course)

3. use mass scaling (but know what you are doing ;-) )

4. check the model for time consuming calculations, maybe there is something obsolete...

PS: 450 sec for a explicit solution is really crazy ;-), try implicit instead
