Press-fit analysis

Hi,

I want to know the insertion and retention force required for the press fit assembly, in the attached file i requested for CONTF , is the Contact force obtained can be considered as insertion force, further i also tried with out put blocks.

Please review the attached file and help me to know the correct insertion and retention force and also to plot the Displacement V/s Force plot using T01 file in Hyper Graph. 

Please also comment on the obtained Contact pressure results.

Hello Laxminarayan,

 

You have already put RBODY in the output block, so to see the insertion force you can plot the force on this RBODY in a particular direction using T01 file in HyperGraph.  In a similar way for Retention force you have to see the Interface(Contact) force in HyperCrash.  Plot Normal Force (NF).
