Radioss implicit analysis

Hi,

 

I have been trying to run a model through Radioss Implicit solver. I understand from your forum that Radioss uses same solver for Implicit and explicit analysis.

 

My question now is should I use a FEM similar to that used for explicit analysis maintaining minimum element size across the model for implicit analysis also? This will reduce mass error and related issues.

 

I am using HW2017. Also if there is any tutorial for such case is available setting up implicit solver parameters would really help.

Hi,

 

Implicit Solution is Radioss is more to complement the Explicit Solution.  So we suggest to use it only for specific cases like Spring Back or Gravity loading.  For other generic Implicit Non-linear cases, it is good to use Optistruct.
