Dear All,
How to assign all number cores to run simulation.
Will Number of cores affect simulation time?
I doubled the RAM (previous 8GB, Now 16GB) , but there is no change in simulation time.
Hi,
Assign the number of cores (-nt) in RADIOSS solver run manager and review whether it helps
When starting the calculation type e.g.:'-nt 4' into the fild called 'option'. This will limit the solver to e.g 4 threads. (The student version only runs up to 4 threads)

Yes no. of cores will effect simulation time depending on job size, type of analysis (linear, non-linear etc.),memory or core intensive etc.
There are two types of run:
1) memory intensive :general static analysis jobs
2)core intensive:iterative jobs like non-linear analysis
On running core intensive jobs on high number of cpu's run time can be reduced However after certain number of cores , the time becomes constant.
