How to set non-linear Material
If today I want to set the material like Opitstruct MATS1.
#Problem 1
We can give table data to let it have material curve, so how can I set it in RADIOSS.
#Problem 2
If today I want to set the rigid body in RADIOSS, can I use the M13_Rigid?
#Problem 3
If my model want to let it to contact automatically like automatic_single_surface_contact in LS-DYNA.
(Just like I don't set any contact surface, just choose the parts then it will have the behavior of contact)

Hi,

For an elasto-plastic material you can use /MAT/LAW2 or /MAT/LAW36. If the user is having a stress-strain curve use /MAT/LAW36. Create the function usinig curve editor (XYPlots>>Curve editor) and in the material card recall this function as shown below. Please note that the stress-strain curve should have post yield values. Also, the first point of yield stress functions (plastic strain vs stress) should have a plastic strain value of zero. As an example, If the yield value is 90, the curve starts with
X Y
0 90

For rigid bodies always use /MAT/LAW1. /MAT/LAW13 is an obsolete card now.

As in Dyna you can create a self/global contact in RADIOSS using the Type 7 contact. Select the master and slave as the same and a self contact between them will be established.

@George P Johnson Thanks to you!
My three problems you explain really detailed.
I will try it !

I want to ask of Problem1, I just can find
what is mean about fct_id, Fsacle & Eps_dot (the value is I set)

Multiple material plasticity curves can be given for up an arbitrary number of strain rates. If you are using sinle curve and want to scale the stress values in the next you can use Fscale option. Only the stress values (Y coordinate) can be scaled. Eps_dot is the strain rate (change in strain (deformation) of a material with respect to time). If the user has the strain rate values these options can be utilized, else leave them blank.0 -
@George P Johnson Thanks to your apply!
So I need to define the stress and strain curve in the fct_ID
So where can I set it?

Hi,
As told before select the XYplots menu in HyperMesh. Choose curve editor and create the curve, which you can finally recall in fct_ID.
We have an example in Help where /MAT/LAW36 is used and the same is attached for your reference.

@George P Johnson Do you have the radioss's tutorial PDF?
I just can find the model file.
And I want to ask what I should if I use the pretension like this
How to set the spring element on a bolt and apply that pretension.
Really thanks to you!

Hi,
For the above file attached we don't have a tutorial, it's an example file in Help menu. Please open the same in HyperMesh and review the material cards.
Altair Forum User said:what I should if I use the pretension like this
You can create a Force vs Displacement curve for pretension, such that the curve will be loaded from time 0 and can recall the same in fct_ID1 of the card.
We have a tutorial on the same in Help and is attached for your reference.

@George P Johnson I have seen the RADIOSS can also do the linear analysis
Do you have that example file? I want to do the linear analysis in RADIOSS.
I have done the practice in Optistruct.

[Solved]
@George P Johnson I have met the problem of
Missing 'NORMAL TERMINATION' in output file Pretension Set 3_0000.out.
What is the problem of my file?
I use the RD-3510 to do the analysis.
I finally find that I didn't apply the material and property in one component.
