incorrect node numbering sequence
Hi,
RADIOSS aborts with the following error message when running a linear-static analysis.
Heres what ive tried so far based on the two threads 'renumbering before solve' and 'FE Renumbering by Grid position' from this forum
- Running Tools-Renumber on 'node' (all selected), 'elems' (all selected) and 'all' did not solve this.
- Userscript 614 crashes while running

Sebastian,
Yes, the element must be identified and checked for quality as well, for instance this error has occured for bad quality hexa elements or negative jacobian in a chexa etc
However Importantly, I see that you are running 11.0, please check if you have the latest update and install it, this will most likely fix the problem. (if you do not see any modelling issues)
see Forum » Modeling (Preprocessing) » HyperMesh » To identify the software update/patch that has been installed in your machine
HW11.0.240-HWSolvers this is the latest solver update, install it fromhttp://www.altairhyperworks.com/ClientCenterHWUpdateDownload.aspx?pro_cat=HyperWorks

Sebastian,
Can you identify the element with his id? What type of element is it? Maybe remesh it?

You can mask an element by pressing F5 -> Selecting 'by ID' -> set in the number: 1208057 ... then mask the element.
This leads to, that the element is not visible anymore. By reversing it 'press reverse', you mask everything else but the element and then you got a fine chance to see it
For checking the element quality: Mesh -> Check -> Elements -> Quality index

@merula:
Thank you, i have found the element (it was a very weirdly shaped element that looked like a glitch in a video game) and removed it. Analysis runs through smoothly!0
