Conversion of Radioss( block format) to optistruct for optimisation

Hello Friends,

While converting Radioss( block format) to optistruct for optimisation, load collector 'initial velocity' does not get any card image automatically, so which card image is suitable if initial velocity has to apply to the particular node. Is it possible in optistruct to apply velocity to particular node?

Hi Sanket,

Velocity can be applied through SPCD but this is only valid for dynamic load cases.

Can you let us know what type of analysis and optimization you are interested in so that we can think about any work around?

Hi Prakash,

I am analysing impact case of crash box. Crash box is made up of carbon fibre layers with different thickness and orientation and I want to optimise layer thickness and orientation, for particular boundary conditions.
