Problem With Zooming When Objects Are Highlighted
I am using Evolve 2015 (4940) and I have had trouble zooming in and out while objects (curves, surfaces, pretty much anything) are highlighted. It has been a problem for all releases of 2015 and is really difficult to work with.
Basically, whenever I am trying to move something, or draw or move the points of a polyline, I am unable to zoom in or out on an area because the the view jumps to either the (0,0,0) point or some sort of zoom extents every time I scroll on the mouse.
I am using an apple magic mouse, and while I have noticed it not working too well with some websites, I don't remember this happening on Evolve 2014.
If you have any ideas on what would cause this, I would love to know.
Thanks

Hello,
Yes, we have noticed this issue in 2015 and we are addressing it. As you have written, this issue is Mac specific and happens most often when you have some entity selected and use Fit to zoom into these selected objects. For some reason the view does not allow you to zoom out unless the object is deselected. We have noticed this on both the Mac Trackpad and Magi mouse.
I confirm that this is indeed in development as we speak. We will definitely address these issues for our service release of 2015 along with some optimization for OS X 10.11
Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. The problem I am having doesn't involve using Fit to Zoom, but rather happens when simply zooming in or out while placing or moving points of a polyline or while zooming when trying to move an object. For instance, after I place the first point and want to zoom out to place the next point further away, the view will only zoom out a small amount before snapping back to a close-up of the original point.
Thanks again,
Tyler

Yes, this is also part of the issue I mentioned earlier. Since the last created CV is selected, zoom is trying to fit the selected object even when you are not explicitly using Fit selected. We have addressed and fixed this issue.
You can also try to reset the camera by using the camera functions which can be found within each view, there is a small arrow which you need to click to expand and see more camera icons. See attached image.
