Is there any way to consider surface to surface contacts in a modal analysis? I read about PGAPS but not sure if this could work.

I think you can. I am attaching a model with contact with Modal subcase. Rename the file as .fem from .txt.
But look at the frequencies after the analysis /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
