Combining initial conditions for Transient heat transfer analysis

I am trying to model a transient heat transfer problem with Optistruct, in which a plate is on a tube, the plate has an initial temperature of 1000 C, and the tube has initial temperature 25 C.

I have gone through the tutorial 'Linear Transient Heat Transfer Analysis of an Extended Surface Heat Transfer Fin'. The tutorial used 'TEMPD' to define the initial temperature, which was 25 for the whole model. In my problem, initially the temperature is not the same, so how can I define such initial condition?

Also I have used 'temperatures' under 'Analysis' to define the temperature at the bottom of the tube, which is 25 C. It means that the temperature at the bottom of the tube remains 25 C throughout the simulation, right? (This is what I want)

    HI,

You want to apply two different temperatures to different parts of the structure, right ?. TEMPD applies to grids which have no specific TEMP card for them. You need to use TEMP on all grids in one part, and use TEMPD to define value for the rest of the structure.
