Hypercrash Error 119: Lagrangian surface is empty
Hello,
I work with hypercrash and every time I get Error 19: Lagrangian surface is empty. As interface Type I choose Multi Usage (Type 7). I already have defined master and slave parts.
I have enclosed a picture of the error message.
Thanks a lot!

Hi @jmey
Is it possible to share the model file with me?
Please use the file transfer link in my signature to share the model file.

Hi,
The error shows that the master surface is empty. Please update the master and slave and click on review so that the slave will be displayed in red colour and master in blue and by this we can reconfirm that the master and slave is updated properly in the interface.
Are you trying to define it for solid components?. If so, create a contact surface for the same and recall the same in the master of interface.

I am sorry, but there is a little confusion with your modeling,
I see 5 contact groups and each has contact with each other (sys) but the master and slave are reversed, Is there a reason for that?
Try creating slave node sets and contact surfaces for master segments and use them to create contacts,

I think he is trying for a symmetric contact. For all components he has modeled a symmetric contact?.

USually, symmetric contacts are less efficient over asymmetric contacts as I don't see any penetration in the model. This also improves computation time,
Anyhow, the problem is contact modeling, creating slave node sets and contact surfaces for master segments and use them to create contacts worked

Yes, I wanted to creat symmetric conditions. I have tried to do it like in the Altair Hypercrash Tutorial RD-T:3060 Three Point Bending.
Now, I have defined surfaces and groups of nodes for master and slave. Master and slave are shown in red and blue, like it should be, but I have still the same error message like before.

Not sure what is causing the error,
Can you check whether PART card image is assigned to all components and make sure right material and properties are assigned..!?
If this yes, can you check the element type? Maybe element type is not compatible with the surface entity type.

Thanks a lot!! This helped. The Part card image was not assigned to all components.
