Exporting Deformed Shapes From HyperView
Today I do the topology of model and if I want to do the second topology.
I use the HyperView to export the model, my HyperWork type is 2017.2.
And I have seen the Tips & Tricks for the link to teach how to export the model.
Link : https://insider.altairhyperworks.com/exporting-deformed-shapes-hyperview/
But when I want to export the model my option dosen't have the .fem type. Like the photo.
My type only like the photo.
Where is my setting wrong?

yes the .fem format is not available in the list. However, you can save file with .fem extension and it will work as expected.

@Rahul R Thanks to your apply
I am not very sure where is the instruction you said.
Did you set the save .fem is in this photo?
But my file type can not change. Can you show me the process?
Really thank you

Please refer attached video.

@Rahul R Thanks to your video.
I use your method to do, but when I want to import .fem file in HyperMesh.
But my model is also un-deformed model. Do you meet the problem too?

Above method would work for undeform model as well .

@Rahul R Thanks to your apply
My iteration is at the 38 and the model is the deformed model. ( I am doing the topology now ).
But when I import the fem in the HyperMesh, it is the un-deformed model.
Is this normal?

My earlier replies was completely in context for exporting deformed shape from Hyperview to solver format. When it comes to topology optimization you should use OSSmooth to get optimized shape.

I have read the link of OSSmooth, but now how do I export to x_t file type
my model is like this
and I can't use Geom > Solid > surfs to make it to solid.
So if I import x_t in other software, it will be shell and I couldn't modify.
How did you make the model to the solid? Thanks you.

Hello,
Please share more snaps of the model.
Thankyou

Hi @LKZ
Do you get any error message when you use solid: using bounding surfaces?
Can you unselect as shown in below image and check if you are able to get solid geometry?
or
Can you try with a different format?

@Prakash Pagadala @Sanjay Nainani
Thanks for you guys apply.
@Prakash Pagadala I have tried your method
but it seems model isn't closed so it can't form the solid.

Hello,
Before creating a solid you need to make sure that the model is a closed volume.
You can use the visualization panel to know from where the model is open and create surfaces there.
Thankyou
