Spring mass model

Hi,

A part of my model is represented by a spring mass system. When i run the 'model checker', I have a warning about the connectivity of my springs. Can someone give me the reason of this warning ?

To create the spring mass model, I have created springs (6dof) in hypermesh betwenn nodes that I have previously added. In Radioss, I define the properties of the springs (Type 13) and I put the added mass at the nodes.

Is it the right / best way to create spring mass model ?

Hi Benjamin,

Check if nodes of the 1D elements are connected with the same PID or with only added mass. Such cases HyperCrash shows this warning.

I think you can try with Type 4 spring also.

Hi Benjamin,

I think HyperCrash shows this warning if the spring elements are not properly on the nodes of elements. Please check if the nodes of the 1D elements are properly connected and if they are properly connected you can ignore this warning.

Yes they are properly connected. As you say, they are not connected on the nodes of elements, but just on single nodes.
