How to set up multi-machine parallel method for radioss solver?
Hello everyone,
I want to solve one huge model with four computers by using Radioss to reduce solution time. The four computers have the same configuration with 36 cores and Win7 X64 system. How to solve one problem by making full use of the four computers to reduce the total computation time? Any relevant documents or manuals will be appreciated.

This PDF can NOT help you!
You have to setup a CLUSTER before you can run SPMD.
Cluster setup is not a simple job for everyone. Cluster needs a lot of specific hardward and software.

Hi everyone,
How to use the MPI solver?
When I ran a case with -testmpi option, it appears a error message as follow.
Solver arguments not accepted:
Error in command line: No useful executable found in : D/program files/Altair/13.0/hwsolvers/radioss/bin/win64
What's the possible reason? How to solve it?

You need MPI Solver when you have a Cluster.
You NOT need MPI solver when you have only ONE computing box with multiple cores.

Hi Q.Nguyen,
I have four computers with the same config. So I want to combine the four computers to speed up the solution to my huge model with Radioss solver. I think the MPI options I should use. In the HyperWorks Solver Run Manager, there is MPI options. However, when I ran a simple case with -testmpi options, it appeared a error message I mentioned before.
So I want to know how to solve this problem. Should I do some configs before? Could you help me? Thank you in advance.

Generally, you can not setup a Cluster with 'normal' computers /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' /> A Cluster needs some specific hardward & software.
Cluster installation is the job of IT Professional, not for everybody /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' /> Myself I can't do that.
