Rigid body Material Card

Hi,

Is there a material card that is rigid? I want to define all parts that are relatively stiff compared to the deformable ones to rigid object, so that I save calculation time. Is that possible?

Just activating the 'RBody/Admas' box leads to error in my simulation.

Thanks.

    Hi,

There is no separate material card for rigid. Normally parts modeled rigid are assigned with elastic material card (/MAT/LAW1). I recommend you to run it normally and review the run time/ You can try imposing time step using /DT/NODA/CST keyword.

Please share the out files (starter and engine out files) to check the error causing the run termination.

    hi,

There is MAT13 which is used to model rigid objects but has limitations with boundary conditions and details can be seen in help file. You can use rbody for modelling rigid bodies, this works fine. Let us know the error you are getting in the same.
