Hi, I need to convert my optimization result to a 3D CAD model for 3D printing. The model is divided into design and non design spaces. When I export the model, only design space is converted. How I can  convert the whole model into CAD model.

When I try to export the solver deck as .stl file, there is not .stl file option available.

I appreciate if someone can help.

Thanks,

Soraya

    Hi @smare104

So you can export lattice (Design space) to CAD but not the rest of the model, correct?

You can extract surface from the non-design space and export the same to CAD.

Thank you @Prakash Pagadala. Yes I can export the lattice or the design space.

Would you please explain me how I can extract surface from the non-design space?

    Thanks again,

    Soraya

    Hi @smare104

If it is solid elements, first create a layer of skin elements and use Geom>>SUrfaces>> FE->SUrf to extract surfaces and convert the same to solid geometry and export the same.

Can I I extract this article as PDF for future reference or will I need to save this as webpage in HTML format and then use a converter such as Total HTML Converter: https://www.coolutils.com/TotalHTMLConverter
