OptiStruct Composite optimization number of ply shapes

In a free size optimization, i always get from a ply, 4 different ply shapes, How can i change this number?

    Hi,

     

    Please add the below line in .fem file (as this is not directly available from HyperMesh)

     

    If you are using FSTOSZ to output sizing deck, it will look something like this in your .fem file:

     

    OUTPUT,FSTOSZ. Continuation to this add the following shown in bold:

     

    OUTPUT,FSTOSZ,YES,4,ADVFREE

     

    By default each orientation bundle gets 4 plies. You can change this number to 2, 4 or 8 ply bundles.There are also other alogorithms avaialble like ADVMAN (Advanced Manufacturing) Please take a look at OptiStruct help for more information.
