Crash model won't move

Hello,

my crash modell isn`t running properly. Everytime I start computation, there are no failures, but in the results my modell isn`t driving against the wall. It is only standing there while the tire is inflating.

Has anyone a quick answer for that problem?

Hi DonSen,

Please ensure that the initial velocity is provided properly. Ensure that master node of rigid bodies are also selected for applying the initial velocity, if Rbody is present in the model.

If problems still persist, please share your model in the dropbox.

I checked the velocity many times and the master nodes of rigid bodies are also selected, but it won`t work.

Which is the unit system you have followed for this model?

Hi,

I uesed the system mm-kg-ms. So the velocity was actually 45 km/h = 12.5 mm/ms.

Please check the monitored volume created.The defined surface for monitored volume must be closed.

Isn`t the rim closing the surface of the monitored volume? It doesn`t give any errors with that.

Radioss starter gave a warning about the monitored volume. Can you recreate the monitored volume in the model?

I even tried with version 14 now and recreated the monitored volume but it still won`t work.

Now it worked. All I had to do was change Istf to 4 and Igap to 2? Many thanks for helping me out!
