Hi, 

I have query regarding admass.

I wanted to assign the mass to a plate which is rigid.

In this case,applied the mass at the master node of rigid body.

Query is that,what is the element type while applying the mass at rigid body master node and is it distributed uniformly along the plate?

 

Kindly suggest the solution.

    Hi Tushar,

    Mass and inertia can be added to the master node location of a rigid body. 

    The mass which is assigned at the master node of the a rigid body will be uniformly distributed over the slave nodes.

    Element type M-ADV0 or M-ADV1....which should I prefer for adding the mass at master node??

    For type 0, the mass value will be added to each node in the set. Whereas, in type 1, it divides the mass value evenly among all of the nodes in the set. (For ADMAS, create a seperate component collector for adding this).

     

    If you are assigning the mass to a rigid body, you can add the mass by card editing the rigid body and can input the mass value.
