Forced Convection in Transient Heat Transfer

Hello all,

 

Is it possible to simulate forced convection for transient heat transfer Analysis in Optistruct? I refered to the Optistruct tutorial 'OS-1090: Linear Transient Heat Transfer Analysis of an Extended Surface Heat Ransfer Fin'. For instance we can consider the similar example with forced convection.

 

If it's possible to simulate the case; can you please guide what are the changes required for the same while setting up the simulation?

Hi,

 

Optistruct handles only free convection.Currently forced convection is not available with Optistruct.

Please check the same in Acusolve which is Altair thermal & CFD solver.
